The food was really good and the vibe was pretty chill. The food came out relatively quick and it really tasted amazing. I got the American breakfast and the potatoes and eggs tasted excellent. I will say, I got a matcha tea chilled, and I didn’t really like the taste of it, and the tea didn’t mix well with the milk so it was very chalky tasting. It wasn’t unbearable, but I wouldn’t order that drink that way again. Nothing to do with restaurant quality though, I just didn’t like the taste of the drink the way I got it. The pic of the tea is when I first got it, and it wasn’t that bad, but when I didn’t drink it so fast, the tea and the milk separated.
Hands down my favorite experience in St. Louis. The atmosphere of the Mud House is awesome. A variety of songs were being played (mostly throwbacks - perfect!) and there were a variety of customers there; people working, studying, reading, eating, there as a group and as a couple. Truly something for everyone. The service was fantastic, extremely kind and personable staff. I ordered an espresso, Americano and an English breakfast. I wish I had visited The Mud House sooner, I'd likely have visited every day! I highly recommend you visit The Mud House!
American style breakfast very filling and delicious. The matcha was wonderful, not water down or lacking taste. Highly recommend if ya in the neighborhood! Peaceful atmosphere and staff were kind and quick to help with any questions :)
We visit St. Louis often with our business and somehow I hadn’t tried this place yet. It is wonderful-not just the food (although the food was excellent). The service was friendly and welcoming and so was the vibe of the whole place. And the coffee was to die for! If I would have had my pj’s and slippers, I would have curled up in the corner and been in heaven.
The ladies who made our coffees this morning were amazing and so was the orange latte they had it on their specials menu. Everything was 10/10.
A friend gave me a gift card, so I stopped by on my birthday. I'm so glad that I did. I enjoyed my waffle and my fiancé's breakfast potatoes. The staff were also professional, attentive, and kind. I'll be back.
I drink chai lattes religiously. Anytime I’m out of town, I’m in a mission to find a spot with a tasty iced chai. This place definitely did it for me! I went back today and grabbed two for my drive back home. 😏 I also had a funny experience happen my first day going: I ordered toast and only got one slice. I just assumed that’s how they did it here. So today I ordered two orders, so that I could have two slices altogether. However, I got two slices in each order, so now I have all this yummy toast. LMAO. Happy accidents. 💖
